Here, an old map of showing part of Tuscany by Leonardo da Vinci. The round body of water is Lake Trasimeno still in existence; and the oval lake has been dried up by a clever system of canals designed by Leonardo himself. Our art workshops are attended at the bottom of this lake which is today an excellent land for agriculture.
Below the map, the Contessa's palazzo a few yards from our hourse; and a Val d'Orcia landscape waited to be painted in southern Tuscany, our painting workshop location.
Since 1996 we have been offering quality painting workshops in Italy in the region of southern Tuscany; Montepulciano and Cortona offering their most magical landscapes. Our art courses were attended by hundreds of art lovers and artists from all around the world. Oil painting, watercolor, acrylics are all welcomed for our plein air daily expeditions. Our art workshops follow the path of the Macchiaioli painters.
Before the painting workshop, everyone receives our pre-departure newsletter adapted to the context of the participants. That context is known thanks to an expectation questionnaire that everyone submitted a few months before attending the art course. Like this, the main art instructor knows exactly what to expect from his group so no precious time would be lost. The newsletter reveals everything you want to know about our painting workshop in Italy such as the material list, what we are going to eat, what to do upon our arrival in Tuscany, the teaching philosophy, the final schedule, etc.

As you already know, Italian cuisine is among the finest in the world. Our painting workshops' meals, adapted to all, will be undoubtedly Italian. Expect to eat pasta, drink lots of wine in order to neutralize the excess olive oil. Garlic, parsley, lemon are the staples of this country. Formagi such as pecorino romano, torta, and gorgonzola will be part of every meal as well as an honest Rosso di Toscana (you are just in the best region of the Chianti). The meals, prepared in a brisq will be very tasty as here our Risotto alla Bronzino photographed here by Monica Marquez.
